Fair-use caps
At $5 there are no usage tiers — just generous monthly caps that keep one workspace from degrading things for everyone (TikTok's anti-spam limits are shared across the platform). Hit one legitimately? Tell us and we'll raise it.

Only new decks count against the 90 — editing, re-rendering and swapping themes on a deck you already made are unlimited. Image uploads share one budget across the app and any AI agent you connect. Theme generation has no monthly cap: build as many visual identities as your accounts need — a workspace can simply keep up to 1,000 themes at a time, and deleting ones it no longer uses frees space (see the terms). Note that TikTok applies its own separate ceiling on top of ours: at most five drafts can be sitting unposted in an inbox in any 24 hours, for everyone. AI usage isn't capped by us at all — it runs on your own account, under whatever limits you set there.

What exactly am I paying for?
The studio and the infrastructure behind it: unlimited projects in a private workspace, the slide editor, the theme studio, your image library and background removal, server-side rendering, TikTok publishing and analytics, and export. One plan, no upsell.
Do I need my own AI key?
Yes — you connect an OpenRouter account in one click during setup, because generating a deck is how decks get made here. It's the honest shape: model prices vary wildly and move fast, so you pick the models, pay the providers directly at cost, and cap your spend on their side rather than trusting our margin. We never mark up tokens. The $5 covers everything else — rendering, storage, the image library, TikTok plumbing, analytics.
Is there a free trial?
Not yet — at $5 the subscription is the trial. Cancel in one click from Billing and export everything on the way out.
How do cancellation and refunds work?
Cancel any time from the Billing screen — no email, no retention gauntlet. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for, and you keep full access until then. Payments are non-refundable, including partial months, but if something went wrong email support@montageengine.com and we'll look at it case by case. After cancelling, your workspace stays viewable and exportable for 30 days, then it's permanently deleted. Full detail in the Terms of Service.
Does it post to TikTok for me?
No. Carousels are delivered to your TikTok inbox as drafts through the official API; you open TikTok, add your sound, and post it yourself. Nothing reaches your profile without you.
What about Instagram?
Slides export as clean 1080×1350 PNGs, ready to upload anywhere. Direct TikTok integration is the built-in path today.
Where do the photos come from?
Your own uploads, or Pexels, with photographer credit shown on every image. Pexels' license covers commercial use in your posts; photos can't be resold as-is.
